Introduction
The Hebrew Free Loan Association of San Antonio (HFLA-SA) has been changing lives through interest-free, no-fee loans since 1924. This blog adaptation preserves the stories, statistics, leadership messages, financial highlights, donor recognition, and community announcements from the 2025 Impact Report.
Leadership & Mission
The report introduces HFLA-SA's leadership team, explains its mission, and outlines its loan programs, including personal, education, older adult, and veteran loans.
Sharing the Light
In 1924, at a time of fear and exclusion, members of San Antonio’s Jewish community came together to offer strength, compassion, and a hand up to those struggling to find their footing. They built the Hebrew Free Loan Association of San Antonio—a legacy of dignity and shared responsibility that continues to shine more than a century later.
Today, as families and individuals across our community face new financial hardships—some newly challenged, others already fragile—your partnership makes all the difference.
In the shadow of the recent government shutdown and its lasting impact, you give people a reason to believe in the power of community once again.
Every loan we provide, interest-free and rooted in trust, carries with it your compassion.
You help families stay in their homes, students continue their education, and small businesses survive hard times. Together, we’re keeping alive the values that define us—hope, responsibility, and unwavering care for one another.
As we embark on 2026, you can keep the light of compassion, strength, and resilience shining brightly in the year ahead. Please make your tax-deductible gift now and ensure that our shared legacy of hope continues into the next century.
With warmest wishes and gratitude,
Howard S. Feinberg
Chief Executive Officer
Hebrew Free Loan Association of San Antonio
