I came from Russia where at the time I remember synagogue was a broken building with roten woods instead of windows. My mom was hiding prayer books and our family was not allowed to tell anyone that we are Jewish. This was my childhood and understanding what Jewish means. Maybe the time when my mom was beaten up in front of me for no reason as I thought at that time, made a huge print on my life. I did not think that I could achieve anything in my life. It took a long time, a lot of encouraging people and strong Jewish community to show me that Jewish childhood and life could be bright, happy and successful.
That is why this loan means a lot to me. I feel I am not alone. You support in my journey to the highest degree that we were not allowed to have means I can do anything. So I say thank you to you and everyone who believes that Jewish people were born to succeed.
