Memorial Day Honoring Veterans

HFLA-SA joins with the members of Jewish War Veterans Post 753 to ask you to pause wherever you are and observe a moment of silence at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 26th, 2025, Memorial Day, to honor all deceased military veterans.

To further honor Jewish military veterans, members of Jewish War Veterans Post 753 will be placing an American flag on the grave of Jewish veterans buried in all local non-VA cemeteries. The Post provides the flags.

Weather permitting, the tentative schedule for flag placement is as follows:

Rodfei Sholom: Friday, May 16th at 10:00 a.m. 73 flags

Agudas Achim Memorial Garden: Sunday, May 18 at 9:00 a.m. 166 flags

Temple Beth El Memorial Park: Sunday, May 18 at 10:00 a.m. 193 flags
